Privacy policy notice
This privacy policy notice is for Ruby's Bakery Ltd, including the website www.rubys-bakery.co.uk, which is served by Ruby's Bakery Ltd, Unit 4, Braybon Business Park, Consort Way, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 9ND, and governs the privacy of those who use it. The purpose of this policy is to explain how we control, process, handle and protect your personal information in-house and while you browse or use this website, including your rights under current laws and regulations. Processing of your personal data
Under the GDPR we control and/or process any personal information about you electronically using the following lawful bases. We are exempt from registration in the ICO Data Protection Register because we are only processing personal data for core business purposes.
Personal data such as business addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses are stored electronically on our system and in hard paper copy. The data stored is used only for the core business purposes, which are:
- Staff administration (including payroll);
- accounts or records (i.e. invoices and payments);
- advertising, marketing and public relations (in connection with your own business activity).
If, as determined by us, the lawful basis upon which we process your personal information changes, we will notify you about the change and any new lawful basis to be used if required. We shall stop processing your personal information if the lawful basis used is no longer relevant.
Your individual rights
Under the GDPR your rights are as follows:

- the right to restrict processing;
- the right to data portability;
- the right to object; and
- the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.
You also have the right to complain to the ICO (www.ico.org.uk) if you feel there is a problem with the way we are handling your data.

We ensure the security of any personal information we hold by using secure data storage technologies and precise procedures in how we store, access and manage that information. Our methods meet the GDPR compliance requirement.
GM foods policy
It is the policy of Ruby's Bakery Ltd to purchase and manufacture foods which meet all food safety requirements including those of the Food Safety Act 1990 and the Food Labelling Regulations 1999.
Ruby's Bakery Ltd is aware that, in light of current scientific research, there are genuine concerns with regard to the consumption of genetically modified foods. In response to these concerns, Ruby's Bakery Ltd has worked closely with our suppliers to ensure that we do not knowingly use any ingredients that contain genetically modified foods.
This policy statement is subject to ongoing review and any change to it would be mindful of both the law and our customers' concerns.
Product allergens
To view product allergen information, please visit the product page for the specific item you're interested in — every product has its own page with detailed information. All products are also supplied with full ingredients and allergen information highlighted in bold text. If you are buying from a foodservice outlet such as a café or coffee shop, it is their legal duty to provide you this information on request.
For your information, all our products are made in a factory which contains and uses nuts. We cannot guarantee that any of our products will be nut free.
